formula editor is the wrong component. You're looking for the spreadsheet
component. (Formula editor is an equation editor - it doesn't do any
calculations) -> reassigning
But you can already count non-numbers.
COUNT() -> Only numbers
COUNTA() -> both numbers and text
COUNTBLANK() -> empty cells.
Furtheremore there is COUNTIF() that lets you define custom rules on what to
count.
Please explain what is wrong with that.
