I also have very slugish animations and effects. I am running a 3.0GHz with 1GB DDR 400 Ram. I have also sent the problematic file to two friends who also has the same issues as me. Both are running Windows XP with newish machines. The sound issue could just be due to broken links within the file. It does need to be confirmed though. The sluggyness is a definite problem though. Here is the file I am using (Note: I can't attatch the file as it is above the allocated file limit.) http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/magazineforall/Jumpy_Powerpoint_Import.ppt This file was saved from Microsoft Powerpoint 2000 and then imported into Open Office. The file plays ok in Microsoft Powerpoint. I am not sure about the sound though. This is not the original file as confidential information was listed on the original.
