It's now attached to the issue - and I get the problem with the 2.0 rc1 as well. I tried copying the file (still on the remote system) and the issue went away, I also tried editing the file (on the machine where the file system is mounted from) with rc1 and then saving it then RC1 via nfs could open it with no problem.
