In OOo Writer setting the text type property of a text field control to
'multiline with formatting' breaks the link to the database (the data-tab will
be hidden). Furthermore the text field won't allow text to be formatted.

Instructions (worked on OOo 2.0.0 RC 1 (german version), Windows 2000):

1. Start OpenOffice.org Base, generate a new table containing a field with name
'comment' of type 'memo/LONGVARCHAR', save the table and name it to 'table1'.
2. Generate a new form (Insert | Form).
3. In the form that is opened in OOo writer select the text area control and
draw a field in the form.
4. Right-click on the text field and select 'form'. In the properties window
select the 'data' tab, from the content type drop down list choose 'Table1'.
Close the properties window.
5. Right-click on the text field and select 'form'. In the properties window
select the 'data' tab, from the table drop down list choose 'comment'.
6. Now select the 'General' tab. From the text type drop down list choose
'multiline with formatting'. The data-tab will disappear. (!)

Close the properties window, close the form and save it (name it to 'Form1').
In
OOo Base right-click on form 'Form1' and choose 'open'.
Enter some text in the text field. It is not possible to format the text (the
format options are greyed out). (!)
