I agree with hesu2 - in my opinion too it really should read "versaler".

I have had discussions over this earlier. The usage of "stora bokstäver" comes
from the idea the word "versal" is hard to learn?? (when teaching children?)
So
instead some people use the ambigous form "stora bokstäver". But not only is
it
ambigous, it is outright wrong as it really means big (size) characters, so it
is often misunderstood. (for example (mixing english and swedish here: "make
that heading using stora bokstäver" could mean two different things!

  Using singular forms:
"versal" = upper case character.
Opposite= "gemen" = lower case character.

"stor" = big (size)
Opposite= "liten" = small (singular) ("små" in plural and i thought english
was
irregular... ;) )

Using "versal"/"gemen" is the correct way for uppercase/lowercase characters.
Impossible to misunderstand. Short and clear. Much shorter to use in dialogs
etc, and no hesitation. If someone does not use that word it is easy to search
in any wordbook (or internet). Also, a strong point: even thoose who use the
childish expression when speaking, do in all cases i have met understand the
words gemen and versal when hearing / reading!

Looking in the help file i see OOo use both childish forms and the correct.
Try searching for versal in the help, you find subjects, in one item you read
versal, the other the childish form...

Using versal/gemen generally in the documentation would aid in finding the
correct issue as it would separate between all possible size issues and upper/
lowercase issues.

I would vote for cleaning up the whole OOo to use the professional forms
throughout OOo! Where would we vote / post an issue about that?
