It would be nice to have a mode where lines especially can snap to the handle of
an object rather than being positioned in place.  That allows you to move the
underlying object, and have all connections/lines to it moved with it.

That brings up several other possibilities:
a) Ability to create new handles for an object - so that you can snap somewhere
else.  These must be saveable in a format the can be included as a theme.  This
new handle (or set of handles) could have text information associated with it,
so that you could click on a given handle and type some text and it would appear
in one place, and then click a second handle and have the text appear in a
second place.  There are a ton of useful features once this ability is 
available.

b) Line/connector that routes around things and hops over other lines that
re-routes as things are moved.
