2005 -------
I have tried this with the PostgreSQL supplied JDBC drivers, and I get exactly
the same result. The {D '2005-08-20'} notation does not appear to work.
What seems to be the most universal conversion, both for Oracle and PostgreSQL
at least, is to use the function: to_date('2005-08-20','YYYY-MM-DD')
