For future bugs, I'll try to provide cleaner repro steps. The description below
was copied from a post to the OO users mailing list. Version number was 1.9.93
(didn't see it in the found in version pull-down list).

Best,

Specifically I wanted to insert a link in which the
target was http://www.google.com/search?q=define:Open+source and the
displayed link text was "Google" (minus the quotation marks).

I first tried inserting the hyperlink using the Insert > Hyperlink
command. I specified the "target" and "text" fields, and although
Impress created the link, it didn't work properly. The link was
created, but it didn't go anywhere.

I then tried inserting the same link but without specifying the link
text. In this case, the target of the link is displayed on screen as
the default link text. The resulting link worked perfectly.

I consulted the help information and found I could also create a link
using the Hyperlink Bar toolbar. I again tried to create a link with
the previously mentioned target and name. It worked fine, too.

This is an odd error, as I would have thought both the Insert >
Hyperlink and Hyperlink Bar toolbar would use the same underlying
mechanism.
