The Bug still exists in Build 1.9.125.1.2 ("Novell Edition") in SUSE Linux
10.0 :-(
I don't know how this version number is related to "vcl42", but based on the
date (bugfix was in June, SUSE 10.0 was released in October) I think it's worth
reopening the bug... (sorry if this guess is wrong ;-)
I also tested after removing ~/.ooo-2.0-pre, but this didn't change anything.
