History:
I receive newsletters from a client to post on their website.  They are MS Word
documents that have some extensive formatting.  I convert the documents to PDF
and post both the PDF and Word versions on the site (see the above URL). 
Currently, I have been transferring the files to my wife's computer to do the
conversion as I do not have (nor desire) Word on my system.

Problem:
The problem seems to stem from spacing within the columns.  The text in the
columns should not have any margins (I'm not sure if that is the correct term)
but Writer is adding that.  This causes the text to flow beyond the pages
resulting in the formatting being screwed up.  Also, the placement of images
seems to be off although this might be the same problem.

Samples can be found at the above URL which has both the PDF and Word files for
the newletters listed.  I'm not sure whether this is a P2 or P3 but it seems to
me like Basic Functionality so I went with P2.  Please adjust this setting as
appropriate.
