------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 21 09:26:08 -0700 2005 ------- I just installed OpenOffice 2.0. I'm using Windows XP SP2. I opened a Microsoft PowerPoint (*.ppt) file in Impress. When I clicked on the window close box the cursor changed to an hour glass, but the Impress window did not close. Impress became locked. I couldn't do anything in OpenOffice 2.0 like opening Writer. I opened the Window's Task Manager, went to the Applications tab, and saw an Impress application with "Not Responding". I selected it, right-clicked, and selected End Task. Nothing happened. I changed to the process tab, selected soffice.exe, right-clicked, and selected End Process Tree. soffice.exe ended but soffice.bin was still running. I tried ending the soffice.bin process, but it wouldn't end. I tried restarting my computer, but it wouldn't restart because it couldn't stop soffice.bin. Eventally, I had to hold the on/off button in to manually turn off the computer. I removed OpenOffice 2.0 and reinstalled it. The same problem happened a gain. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
