In my understanding (correct me if I am wrong), thisComponent is set within a macro which belongs to a document, and points to exactly this document. Since database documents are unable to contain macros at the moment, the premise fails, so I consider it invalid to request a thisComponent. If there are other contexts for thisComponent, which I don't know, then please explain. Not that I am not saying that it's invalid to request macros in database documents.
