It defaults to unpacking to the desktop, so the path on my machine is:
C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Desktop\<unpackdir> (I've deleted the setup files,
but I didn't change the unpack directory, which was something like
"OpenOffice.org 2.0 Installation files"). The path doesn't seem to be too long
and doesn't contain strange characters.

The XP SP2 installations at work didn't have any problems.
BTW the Win2k installation that has these problems is an OEM version from
Microsoft (not modified by some big hardware firm) with official license (so the
problem cannot be caused by any modifications in pirated versions).

Is the unpacker part of the Nullsoft installer? Should we ask them for possible
problems or ways of debugging this step? Other software that uses the Nullsoft
installer had no problems, neither had OOo 1.1.2 till 1.1.4

It's not a major problem for me personally (I can start setup.exe myself), but
there might be other installations with the same problem out there...
