Trying to unpack the OOo1.9.125_Tiger_fr.pkg.zip archive and later
fondu_040527+_0.2.pkg.zip, Stuffit complained it could not unpack them:

An error occurred during the Stuff operation.
Error #17535

I believe this is a StuffIt error; NOT an OO error. (Running StuffIt 10.0 Build
235) I just want to capture the problem and its work around for other new Mac
users like myself.

Workaround:
Run a bash shell terminal.
At the command line, change directory to your Download directory
    $ cd <name-of-download-directory>

Unzip the archive that StuffIt fails on:
    $ unzip <name-of-archive>.zip
    ... you see it expand the archive ...

Back in the Finder, double click on the package file as you would if StuffIt
behaved well.
