It would be very good to know which font was used for glyph fallback. Since the
UI for this is not available yet I have to guess: It is either a font with a
UCS-4 CMAP or an OpenType font with CFF glyphs. For a CJK font it is probably
the former. Supporting subsetting for PDF of a format 12 CMAP subtable was
handled in issue 51285, which is in CWS vcl42. This CWS isn't integrated yet
though but it looks like it will make it for OOo 2.0.1

hdu->freemant: Is it possible to find the matching font for the CJK character
U+4F60 you see on the display in the dialog "Insert->SpecialCharacter"?
