------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Oct 27 02:06:43 -0700 2005 ------- A .zip file may help - modulo the comments wrt. refreshing it; IMHO insulating all package/file installs with suitable scripts to register components & UI pieces should be -mandatory- :-) To re-phrase that, relying on whacking random files in known/special file system paths without a script managing that is unreliable in the extreme; and can exacerbate future compat & performance problems. Of course - an install-time script/helper-binary can trivially re-zip a bunch of files into a cache. Either way - this issue is really orthogonal - it's worth not parsing more xml that we need to at startup whether it's in a .zip file or not :-) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
