Nicolas Goutte from the KDE team suggested to use i.e. the function
QString KStringHandler::rsqueeze ( const QString & str,
uint maxlen = 40)
to squeeze the Filter String by substituting characters at the end
of a string by "...", before calling KFileDialog::setFilter().
