------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Nov 5 17:16:06 -0800 2005 ------- Note: This issue has been previous reported in issue 7819, and a related problem noted in issue 9202. Issue 7819 was closed without fixing the problem, "works for me". Issue 9202 has been downgraded to P4 "not essential anyway". To avoid a similar fate, I would like to bring to attention that this issue severely restricts the usage of OOo in academia, especially math and engineering. It also renders OOo unusable for publishing engineering papers, where special attention is paid to equation formatting. It also setback adoption of OOo in my company, because the managers were not pleased with the look of equations in the patent application. I am attaching a picture comparing OOo rendered equation with Latex. OOo equation: E = m ` f lsup i rsub j ` m'_c Latex equation: E = m\, ^i\!f_j\, m'_c Notice that in OOo, lsup, rsub, prime and _ are all spaced far away, as though they are separate variables. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
