------- Additional comments from Tue Nov 8 14:01:05 -0800 2005 ------- This allready on the forum, here: http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=26692 I will reproduce here the text on the forum in case the forum get corrupted: OOO2.0 final, windows 98SE, all updates Basicaly I wanted an outline "L" as large as possible on an A4 paper. I have some questions about bad drawing of big fonts and .. about their philosophy vs Word. 1. What is th cursor doing in the middle of the letter (font size 350)? 2. Believe me or not but in the image there are 4 letters "a" 3. 5 letters "a" and a "space" ??? 4. After I used backspace to delete all the letters the header did not get a refresh: . The image refreshed correctly after trying Print Preview and Close Print preview. 5. I wrote "L" -size 350- and then I selected it and typed 500 <enter> in the font size list. This what I got: 6. Then I used a lot of ENTERs to bring the L down. I noticed that a "500-size" letter have a cursor near it of size 50, not more, meaning not proportional with it. At size 800 the cursor grown as much as it should be but .. see below >From this point you may imagine any other scenario. How can I do what I wanted from the begining because I couldn't do it? I didn't think that it will be sooooooooooo complicated ... In word (that I don't to use it anymore) it would be very very very simple. whay big letters do not resize the cursor to be as big as the letter itself? why do they get out of the page and then do not refresh correctly? Why don't they respect the boundaries of the page? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
