This is the same problem as issue #45593: All dimensions such as tabs, margins,
line spacings, line widths, displayed dimensions in Draw, etc., are limited to
two decimal places of accuracy.

In my opinion, the folks that wrote the code for OO did so from a metric-centric
mentality, thinking that *millimeters* is the only unit of measurement in
existence. So, they "generously" allowed two decimal places of accuracy, which
is the equivalent of .000394 inches. Even this is much too limiting, and there
is no reason to impose such limits in the year 2005 when storage space and
processing power are plentiful. But when you try to specify a dimension in
*inches* with the same limit of two decimal places, you are limited to an
accuracy of .01", which is over 25 times worse than the limits in millimeters.

I filed issue #45593 in March of 2005, and there are no indications that
anything is being done about it. I think that this is a serious flaw. There
should be as many decimal places allowed as the user wishes to use.
