------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Nov 14 04:55:56 -0800 2005 ------- I opened a csv file with openoffice, changed a few values and saved it for further processing. As a result text values were extended by hyphens, and empty lines were replaced by sequences of commas, which caused errors in the post processing procedure. Error by design in my opinion. What ought to be changed: The default value for text delimiters (see open options) should be nothing instead of the character ". Column delimiters: The user should receive a hint -at least- , before error corrections like with empty lines are being applied. Even better: The user should decide himself by means of an additional pop-up dialog. Supposedly the csv format is rarely used by novices, who might feel confused by another dialog. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
