doehrm: no. It is generic issue, IMO. You can comment the second line in this:
$checkdll "$*"
if [ $? -ne 0 ]; then exit 1 ; fi
so it will copy the check_ library regardless of return value from checkdll.
Unfortunately there could be problems later...
checkdll also fails on other libraries.
I think we need help from some Solaris expert...
Ause: is there any *hack* in the build environment inside Sun?
