Since other editors (e.g. the mentioned notepad) will use plain text and Word natively speaks RTF the problem is probably related to RTF. Could you provide the source document, which you copied into the clipboad, such that we can read the RTF steam? Another question is, whether this problem also occurs, when you select the "Paste Special" option and then paste as plain text?
