It is too hard for a casual user to format page numbers so that the initial page
does not bear a page number while the subsequent page does. The following
reference shows the ridiculous method that one must use to do this today.

It is much easier to do in Microsoft Word.

My definition of a casual user is someone (could be an adolescent having to
submit an essay for school) who uses a word processor without understanding 
styles.
