I'd like to comment that this issue is not a duplicate of #44087, which deals
with the fact that Endnote (the reference manager) does not recognize in-text
citations in the endnotes and footnotes of RTF documents generated by OOo 2.0.
This is a separate issue and concerns opening Word documents that contain
formatted Endnote (the reference manager) citations. When saving the same
document again with OOo 2.0, these -formatted- citations are lost. Please note
that there is a difference between in-text citations and formatted references,
since the latter contain field codes (basically the complete endnote reference
as XML) while the former just contain identifiers between {}.
