To fix this issue I change the PaneManager a bit. It no longer closes and thus
destroys pane windows when their view shells shall not be displayed. They are
merely hidden.
To acomplish this I changed the initialization of pane configurations: the pane
type of hidden panes is no longer set to ST_NONE. The view shell type is not
modified.
