------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Dec 6 15:16:33 -0800 2005 ------- The original document was created in Word97 on a Win98SE machine. After the document is imported to Writer and saved it causes Writer to crash every time it is opened -- and Crashrep crashes when trying to report the problem. This occurs when using Writer on either a Win98SE or WinXP machine. After some investigation, it seems that the following condition in the Word document is the source of the problem. In the middle of a multi-page document a separate section is created as two-column format (single column sections before and after); there is no text in the two-column section; two images are placed in the two-column area, one of which has an anchor point in the previous single column section. On import to Writer, the document looks fine. A save works fine; but subsequent attempts to use the new document cause a crash. If after an initial import but before save any attempt is made to move the offending image in the document, Writer crashes. If assistance is needed in recreating the problem, I can submit the offending Word document. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
