2005 -------
Ok, I'm running Windows XP, SP2, OOo 2.0 (Release version). Here are my
comments:
#1 - On 2.0, Comma is the default seperator, even w/ the files you provided.
#2 - 2.0 appears to treat commas inside of the text delimiters as text, as it
should. I was able to import "hello there, you!" into a single cell using " as
the text delimiter and , as the cell delimiter.
#3 - Not sure what you're referring to here, but on my system Excel 2003 and OOo
2.0 open the second CSV file exactly the same way.
#4 - For this one, please post a seperate issue and give it type "enhancement"
In short, it appears to me that what you are talking about is all solved in the
2.0 release version. Can you try 2.0 instead of 680m131? Check to see if the
problem is solved in 2.0.
