Same problem I had with OOo 1.1.2 & OOo 1.1.3. Same issue when using both sdc & sxc file types. Same issue when using OO with & without Java Disabling quick launcher minimises the problem, i.e., occurs less frequently. Temporary fix is possible by closing all open documents, and re-opening them again.
