------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Dec 7 07:35:15 -0800 2005 ------- I'm using Openoffice2 from de Debian/GNU/Linux unstable repository. The document named "47pages_1.doc" under the given URL (http://sebastia.homelinux.net/~jo/varis/doc_opens_incorrectly/) OpenOffice2 opens it as 47 empty pages, but in reality it should be ONE page with a header, some text (some of them coloured). A friend of mine has tried to open it with MS-Word (can't remember the version sorry) and he tells me it asks him if he allows a query to be run when opening the document. Finally he has been able to save it as "W98 Doc RTF" and OpenOffice still opens it as a 47 empty pages!!! (47pages_2.doc) The last "save as" he has done is to save as a pure RTF document and when I open it with OpenOffice it shows 48 empty pages (48pages_3.doc). I sent an email to the mailinglist openoffice-users and two people detected the same behaviour. They also hinted me that going to VIEW->Web Layout shows it correctlly. http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgNo=108933 Note: with the program "ted" http://www.nllgg.nl/Ted/ the RTF transformed files open more or less correctly.
