------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Dec 8 00:46:32 -0800 2005 ------- This concernes the German translation of the UI. I don't know, whether it is also an issue in other languages (it might very well be). One of the major advantages that OOo has (or better: had) above MS Office was the strict compatibility of the user interface of the different parts as writer, calc etc. Now in version 2 this has been violated, a real drawback. What generally was "[F]ormat -> [S]eite" (format - page) is now "[F]ormat -> [S] eite" in Calc, but "[F]ormat -> Seiteneinste[l]lungen" in Writer. (There are others, e.g.: "[S]tandardformatierung" in Writer, "Standard[f] ormatierung" in Calc) All these menu things are done automatically, without thinking after a while of use. But if the user always has to reflect - ah, I'm in Writer, remember it's [l], not [s] and so on - this automatism is broken. I consider this a severe design flaw, that has to be fixed. By the way, many menues contain the same shortcut character more than once. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
