Unfortunately, I'm no longer able to recreate the results from last night. I've tried your suggestion as well as opening up the drop-down list again but I can't get the symptoms to reappear. Is there a cache of some sort that might have been corrupted? If so, I'm wondering if the cache was cleaned up a bit when I removed the errant font from my Fonts folder and restarted OOo? That might explain why it is working again. If that is the case, though, then I need to get to work figuring out what started all of this to begin with. This is a little frustrating tonight because I was able to recreate the problem every time I tried it yesterday. To the best of my recollection, I simply opened up a new document and started browsing through the font list. I hadn't even typed any text, yet.
