Test environment 1:
- SuSE Linux 9.2 Professional (x86_64, kernel 2.6.11)
- HP Deskjet 932C
Test environment 2:
- Windows XP w/ Service Pack 2
- HP Deskjet 932C
Test environment 3:
- Windows XP w/ Service Pack 2
- HP PSC 500 (Printer-Scanner-Copier)
In all environments the results were the same, although in the 3rd env. the
2.6cm margin was on the right side.
BTW, the "long" side (i.e. 2.6cm side) is always on the last edge of the A4 to
be printed (see my rudimentary example below). This would make me inclined to
think this problem DOES have something to do with my printer's physical
margins. However, when I print a normal A4 page with a box, all sides of which
are 1.5cm from the edge of the page, the page prints perfectly (i.e. w/ all
margins 1.5cm).
