For me it takes a long time to open (>30 sec from a local file, though the progress indicator bar zips across instantly), and working with the file (eg. select a few lines of text, C-x, C-v) tends to leave the application nonresponsive, unwilling to even repaint, for ~30 sec. I can't do a Save As... to either .odt or .sxw from Writer/Web, but Export... seems quick enough. The generated .sxw/.odt files also take a long time to open, and have similar freezing characteristics once open.
