We started with these TWO issues: 1. Writer cannot redistribute the available width. (There will be cases when the user does NOT want to increase the dimension of all cells, but manage WITHIN the available overall dimension. In fact, increasing the overall dimensions of the table may create other problems, like table exceeds the page margins, the larger table affects the flow of text sourrounding the table and spoils the aesthetics of the page, etc..) 2. Writer cannot limit the change to the selected cells only. I have posted supporting arguments why OOo should behave like that. No one has put up convincing arguments against them. Now we have three options: 1. You could prove me wrong, and we rest the case. 2. You could accept them as defects and start further processing. 3. You could respond that these features were not intended to be there in OOo2 at all, so these are not defects, but rather "desired enhancements".
