I don't know what you mean by "with cell references that are between lines"
but I can confirm that Calc doesn't adjust the cell references correctly if it
sorts a data range which contains references to itself. Expected behaviour:
Sort by result, then adjust the cell reference to point to the new cell the
value is in now.
