2005 -------
Louis,
I have read the history, especially 'PT evaluation will take place early next
year and St requested that CN investogate a shorter term solution for this
issue, so reassigning to support to open internal PCN'. 'Early next year' was
meant to be early 2005, and 'shorter term solution' - I don't know.
I understand that issues have their prorities, and I understand that there
might be not enough resources to implement a particular fix/feature. But this
is why I love free software so much - if you miss a functionality, you can just
sit and implement it yourself ;-)
And I tried in this case as well. I'll attach a patch for Bugzilla 2.20 that
took me exactly 1 hour to hack - including downloading the Bugzilla sources,
and learning the basics (again - as I wrote, I had some Bugzilla hacking
experience). It is not tested in any means, of course, but it could be of some
value.
It includes 2 nice features; a checkbox for stating in which CWS the fix was
applied, and the wanted re-assign for verification. The result would look
like:
( ) Leave as STARTED
(O) Resolve issue, changing resolution to [ FIXED [v]]
[ ] Resolved in CWS (Child Workspace): [ ]
[X] The following user will verify this issue: [ ]
( ) Reassign issue to [ ]
...
Re-assign in the 'FIXED' or 'VERIFIED' state would be similarly hard/easy to
achieve.
