I have got a similar problem, so i submit it here :
Creating an equation using Math in OOo 2.0 and using greek symbols.
When this is exported to .doc format, then the greek symbol will be replaced
with a small box.
e.g. %delta^{13}C= {above}over{below}
this formular is correct in OOo, upon export to .doc and viewing using WORD (in
my case WORD 2000), the little delta is replace by an empty box (see submitted
file formulardoc.doc; little detas in the text are shown correctly
I have tried this with all greek letterns : the only letters shown correctly are
those resembling latin caracters (A, B, X, E, H, I, K, M, N, O, P, T, Z), all
others are not shown. (file Greekletters.doc)
