------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Dec 21 14:04:32 -0800 2005 ------- Background: Teacher has students independently preparing OO Impress slides and saving to a common network directory. Teacher then attempts to create a composite presentation by inserting individual files. OO Impress crashes on approximately 80% of attempts to save using this sequence: - File | New - Insert | File => (insert any one of the existing OO 2.0 presentations in accompanying archive) - Save or Save As Data Points: - Problem occurs with any file from attached archive (how do I attach a file to this issue?) but NOT with files created from scratch. - We have duplicated the problem on at least 10 separate computers - Problem behaves consistently with OOo 2.0.0, 2.0.1, and Star Office 8 - Problem occurs with all of the following .odp, .sxi, and .ppt formats - Files have been repeatedly scanned for malicious code - File is generally recovered correctly, however inserting the next file will produce another crash This activity is a farily common one in a school setting, therefore our interest in this issue is very high. All attention to this issue is greatly appreciated. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
