2005 -------
In gEdit and most other GNOME applications I can use pretty much any Unicode
characters I need in any font. In OOo, however, I cannot use certain
characters in certain fonts (OOo then simply displays a space). This is 
annoying.

OOo should learn the same tricks as GNOME uses. It should fall back on
different fonts when the character entered is not present in the current font.
