Method Select cell Insert... Picture... (image inserted, sized and positioned) Select image Right click... Arrange... To Background (Alternative -- Format... Arrange... To Background Image is now not selectable and context menu options (above) not available. Deleting: Deleting contents per cell does not work on background. Deleting rows and columns: Select row... Delete Cells does not remove image, Delete contents sometimes removes image. Select column... Delete Cells sometimes removes image, sometimes not. Delete contents sometimes removes image sometimes not.
