When a Note in Calc is Arranged to the background it forms a background copy which does not respond to user actions. Deleting cell contents or columns eventually removes the background copy of the note (unacceptably it also removes all other data), but it does not remove the background copy of the callout line. Navigator does not acknowledge background copy. Method Insert... Note in cell (callout note edited etc) Right click on Note and Arrange... To Background.
