A comment on the modified summary:

A broken table always continues on the very NEXT page. So a simple "continued on
the next page" is enough: Inserting a page number is redundant. 

On the other hand, if a similar continuation indicator is used for linked
frames,  the page number is ESSENTIAL, because the subsequent frame may be
placed on any page of the document. This is especially important if the reader
is going to read a PRINTED version of the document: Without the page number, he
cannot know where to continue (if the document has several frames on the pages,
the user may find it difficult to locate the frame he wants).
