Unfortunatly the constant for "Application Support" to pass into
NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains is new in Tiger. Also: using this call
requires support for Objective-C in the build environment.
For now, I have hardcoded ~/Library/Application Support as config dir until we
can raise the baseline to Tiger.
