Hi,
I think this is not an issue as of OOo 2.0.1.
The transparency setting is not the problem, but shapes with invisible-filling,
i.e. empty shapes.
A rectagle with a colored filling set with transparency option will be selected
by clicking anywhere inside (even wide-hatched patterns). Only empty-shapes will
require to click on the border lines. This is completely logic and expected by
users, in my experience.
I am closing this issue as invalid. Please, if you think you can add more
information, or use cases for your desired behavior, please feel free to re-open
the issue.
