------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jan 16 12:34:23 -0800 2006 ------- Hello, in the meantime I was able to look a little more at the problem. On two "almost" identical computers, I had produced a file with a checkbox and exported to PDF, using the Zapf*something font (I think it was ZapfDingBats on both occasions). In one PDF, there's a box, no problem, but on the other PDF, it isn't. But in both cases, it is there when I use the OOo text file format (odt). I suggest that the PDF exporter uses the character and embeds it as a shape or so if it can't be sure that the character is present in some character set it thinks there should be, and/or make use of the same font specification (and font server) for all text formats... warning if there is some problem with fonts instead of simply writing "something" to file. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
