To reproduce, create a numbered paragraph below another numbered paragraph, but one level deeper. If the cursor is placed at the start of the second paragraph, the first backspace causes the numbering to be turned off (can this behaviour be disabled? What's it good for?). Further backspaces don't join the second paragraph to the first one, but just do nothing instead.
