This is a follow-up issue for issue 60699, which fixes described behaviour,
_except_ the case when window-to-window copies are involved (which is mostly
used for scrolling).

What's needed here is asynchronous handling of GraphicsExposure events - the
hard part here is to get the repaint offsets right, since several scroll
operations could potentially lie between the generating one and the time the
GraphicsExposure event is received.
