Can confirm with OOo-dev m152 Win98SE.
1. Open the uploaded odt file;
2. Go to A1 cell; Ctrl+End; The active cell is A49
3. Save it as Excel 97/2000/XP format
4. Open it with Excel (in my case ExcelXP)
5. Go to A1 cell; Ctrl+End; The active cell is IV31993
