confirmed at OOo1.1.0 on Windows xp pro sp2
steps:
   1. start a new writer
   2. click "File'--"Open" and choose some directory that contains more than
one file.
   3. right click the mouse one file to open the context menu and
choose "Rename"
   4. Press "Delete" on the keyboard. the file name is emprty right now
   5. right click the mouse on empty name file again to open conext menu and
choose "delete"
   6. a Confirm Delete windows will appear. look at "Entry", I shows the
directory name
   7. if we confirm this delete, the directory will be deleted.

if we dont know confirm this delete, then we reopen the File-open dialog,
we can see that
the file name is not changed.
this bug ais important to the customer because it will delete all the files
under directory.
